[Telecentres] Introduction

Hello everyone.   I am a psychologist and specialist in the areas of trauma,
health and family issues and media/ICT and also consult to organizations in
the areas of workplace violence, trauma and stress.
In addition to being in private practice in New York, I am involved in a
number of organizations.

I am the focal point to WSIS for the International Society for Traumatic
Stress Studies, Chair of Media/ICT Working Group of the UN NGO Committee on
Mental Health, New York, and a past president (2003) of the Media Division
of the American Psychological Association.    In addition, I have begun
organizing the Health and ICT Working Group of WSIS, which developed from
discussions with CS people I had met at WSIS in Geneva.  If anyone is
interested in joining the Health and ICT Working Group, please email me
directly.

The telecenters list sounds like a great opportunity to learn more about the
application and usage of telecenters to a variety of content areas including
the area of health and mental health and is the reason I joined the list.
