ROUGH TRADE DJs IN THE SHOWROOM BAR SATURDAY 4PM : FREE
Saturday 16 March Dj's and guest Rich X (Girls On Top) will be
playing records using the new Rough Trade Electronic01 cd compilation
as reference. This Double CD collection of electronic music includes
Brian Eno, Joe Meek, Aphex Twin, BBC Radiophonic Workshop, John Cage
and Thomas Brinkmann and is release on the 18 March on Mute records.
Electronic01 will be on sale at the special introductory price of £10
during the dj set.

WARP SHORTS PROGRAMME : 45mins
Unfortunatley there will be no Chris Cunningham but the Warp Shorts
programme includes the latest crop of film makers to work with Warp
including a series of films commissioned via the net for
Squarepusher's Go Plastic and the World Premiere of Alex Rutherford's
extraordinary visualisation of Autechre's Gantz Graf.

NTK RTI : FRIDAY AT 6PM : FREE
We are very pleased to announce that Sheffield's finest recyclers of
tech and lovers of Linux - Redundant Technology Initiative - will be
joining the festivities on Friday 15 March 6pm with a DIY
web-publishing workshop by Dave Green of NTK http://www.ntk.net

APPLE CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOPS : FREE
Friday also provides an unmissable opportunity to FREE gain hands on
experience using Apples lastest DV production software. These open
workshops, run by Byron Wijayawardena Senior Technical Consultant
(Digital Video Specialist) at Apple UK, will be running on the hour
from 1pm-4pm in Showroom 5.

LEGO ANIMATION WORKSHOPS
These are also open access on Saturday from 10am-5pm. Lego will be
running animation workshops in using their Animation Studio software.
These free workshops offer anyone the chance to create an animated

VARIOUS INTERVENTIONS...
On Saturday will be a number of informal presentations during breaks
between sessions on Saturday 16 March. These will include at 1.15pm
Saturday: Flat Earth's Julian Baker and John Eacott who will be
presenting the Morpheus CD - a compilation of work by various artists
made using Supercollider software. Others TBC see the Lovebytes
Information Desk in the Showroom for details.

NO BBC INTERNET ACCESS
One last minute change to venues - The BBC Multimedia Zone will not
be open during the festival. So the Showroom cinema will be providing
limited internet access during the festival supported by the Wired
Workplace (www.wiredworkplace.co.uk)
